How money works

When your money moves

You pay once with MTN MoMo or Orange Money. Cheffar holds the booking total and opens it in three steps — shopping first, labor after the meal.

  1. 01

    Paid & held

You pay the full booking once. Cheffar holds the total. Neither host nor cook moves booking money off the platform.

  2. 02

    Shopping released

You approve the market list. Only the grocery budget opens so the cook can shop. The labor fee stays held.

  3. 03

    Completed & released

After the meal, the labor fee pays out to the cook on schedule. No cash collection at the door.

How money is labeled

Market budget is never a platform fee

Hosts in Cameroon already watch grocery cost at Marché Central and Sandaga. At checkout you see three clear lines: the cook's labor fee, the market budget for shopping, and a flat trust fee of 1 500 FCFA. The 4% support fee applies only to labor — never to tomatoes, fish, or palm oil.

  • Labor fee

What you pay the cook for time and craft

  • Market budget

Ingredient spend at local markets — passes through unchanged

  • Trust & hold

Your kitchen is sacred. We treat it that way.

Held payment protects the money. Screening protects the stove. Every cook completes identity and health checks, a kitchen practical, and platform training. Executive Chefs and Cordon Bleus are judged on different craft.

Tier 1 · Executive

Answer
